CROWN FLY FISHERS

Crown Fly Fishers are rightly proud of the charity donations made to local good causes over the years. Below is a list of all the beneficiaries.

Past president Tam Campbell and former Crown Inn owner Liz Muir (left) present a cheque for £220 to the Ayrshire Hospice in 1998.

In 1999 the club donated £350 to the Special Baby Care Unit at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine.

The first of two donations made in 2000 was a cheque for £214 to Irvine Cancer Care with another later in the year for £85 going to the Ayrshire Hospice in Ayr.

Tam Campbell and past president Wullie Watters with Liz Muir hand over a cheque to Agnes Galloway of the Ayrshire Hospice for the sum of £250 in 2001.

In 2002 Stanecastle School in Irvine received a donation of £200

Club member Norrie Galloway hands over a CD/radio to Crosshouse Hospital reps Stewart and Gillian Wallace.

Our cheque for 2004 was presented to Debbie Christie and we hope our £200 will help Debbie reach her appeal fund target of £8000. Debbie suffers from Motor Neurons disease and with husband Colin has been trying to raise money to travel to the Bahamas to take part in a medical trial using brand new drugs. This could give her more time to be with her family. We wish her well.

Debbie collects her cheque from Wullie Watters, Rab Brazier and Tam Campbell

In 2006 a donation of £200 was made to local charity Irvine Cancer Care
